Staying in Big Ridge
Big Ridge State Park is a quiet, wooded park on the shore of Norris Lake in Union County. Its mailing address is Maynardville, but the park is well outside town. The park cabins are closed until April 1, 2027, per Tennessee State Parks, so for now most visitors rent a lake house around Norris or stay in hotels in Oak Ridge or Clinton.
