Big Ridge State Park

Big Ridge State Park sits on the shore of Norris Lake in Union County. Its mailing address is Maynardville, but the park is out in the county, well outside the Maynardville city limits.

It’s a quiet, wooded lake park — a good pairing with a stop in Maynardville or a day on Norris Lake.

Good to know

• On Norris Lake, the big TVA lake on the Clinch and Powell rivers.
• The Maynardville address is the park’s, not the town’s — plan for a drive out from town.
• Park cabins are closed until April 1, 2027, per Tennessee State Parks; check the park page for current trail, campground and event status.
