Cove Lake

200-acre state-park lake at Caryville, right off I-75 at the foot of the Cumberland Mountains.

Cove Lake is the 200-acre centerpiece of Cove Lake State Park in Caryville, a park of more than 630 acres in the Cumberland Mountains (TN State Parks). It’s a kayak, canoe and fishing lake — small and calm, not a big-boat lake.

It sits on Cove Creek just above Norris Lake’s Cove Creek arm, so it’s an easy stop on the way to Norris or the Cumberland Plateau. The park says a renovated campground opens in 2027.
