Staying in Oak Ridge

Oak Ridge is a practical hotel town: stay close to the Manhattan Project sites and museums, and you’re also a short drive from Norris and Melton Hill lakes, Windrock and the Obed. Hotels cluster along the main roads; for lake houses look north to Norris, and for more choices West Knoxville is close.

Before you book

  • Big weekends (football, festivals, conventions) fill downtown rooms early — book ahead or stay a little farther out.
  • Check parking: downtown hotels and inns often charge for it or have limited spaces.
  • Historic inns can have stairs and few rooms — read the listing before you book.
