Watts Bar Lake

Long main-channel lake past Kingston, Rockwood and Spring City — big water for boating and fishing.

Watts Bar Lake is the Tennessee River reservoir behind Watts Bar Dam, downstream of Fort Loudoun. It also backs up the lower Clinch and Emory rivers around Kingston, so the lake has many arms — Kingston, Harriman, Rockwood and Spring City all have water nearby.

It’s a main-channel lake with a navigation lock, so you’ll share it with barges and big cruisers in places.
